Make a blue hat for Dad! Wear it as a reminder that Prostate Cancer must be beaten! Give it to a man in your life to remind him to be screened! This one is from the Coats & Clark GOTCHA COVERED pattern (see link at right) and knit with Red Heart 0381-Light Blue.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEga8QwutGjeDTY9oH910wdfMs_74BoqWnRWOsE2P_hLQMp1XAtUbYGXMG22lv9-HDA_qL3RSPOrUyCmiiufPVFmq37JS8kBUM3hZ1M2Jr6LIppm7sxd-svpImGU8PP9u2cpByOMx5TJMSs/s1600-h/bluehat2.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEga8QwutGjeDTY9oH910wdfMs_74BoqWnRWOsE2P_hLQMp1XAtUbYGXMG22lv9-HDA_qL3RSPOrUyCmiiufPVFmq37JS8kBUM3hZ1M2Jr6LIppm7sxd-svpImGU8PP9u2cpByOMx5TJMSs/s320/bluehat2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5112438002812625346" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br />I used size 8 knitting needles and shortened the ribbed cuff to just 1" to make it into a beanie. I think it would be really cool to maybe make one with a big ribbed cuff on it, and then tack the cuff up with a light blue awareness ribbon or tie tack or something. Or even making a white hat with a light blue cuff. Oo-oo... or striped! I've ordered a bunch of yarn from Knitpicks (www.knitpicks.com-some of the pattern links are their's) and when it comes in, I'll knit up a few more hats in different sizes and gauges or crochet in different hook sizes and post the samples. Please feel free to e-mail pictures of your finished hats, and I'll post them on the blog!<br /><br />AnneAnne's Busy Handshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01331409302439776002noreply@blogger.com0
